Dog Park

Gloucester County Dog Park
2401 High Hill Road
Logan Township, NJ 08085

Hours of Operation:  Dawn to Dusk

Gloucester County Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger and Logan Township officials joined today to cut the ribbon to the new Dog Park today so that the county’s residents have a dedicated space for their dogs to run and interact with others in a dedicated environment.

Freeholder Director Damminger said, “Gloucester County has an active community of dog lovers, a 4-H Dog Club, Kennel Club and other dog organizations. I am constantly asked for a dog park to be built and now we have permanent 1.5 acre location that features great amenities for our residents and their pets.”

“This was a team effort and we received a lot of assistance from Logan Township and private industry. GCIT helped construct the benches, New Jersey American Water donated the water line, and Soil Safe Inc. donated the fencing,” said Director Damminger.

The Dog Park has a water fountain, 2 gazebos, 4 dog waste stations, and 8 benches (6 from Logan and 2 benches from GCIT). The 2.5 acre area on the corner of High Hill and Birch Creek Roads in Logan Township features a Small Dog Park for dogs less than 25 pounds that is .5 acres; and a Large Dog Park that is one acre. This park replaces the temporary dog park that was at the DREAM Park.

Freeholder Adam J. Taliaferro said, “We are very happy to provide this dog park to our county’s residents. A dog park is one of the top requests we get through both our Parks Department and the Animal Shelter. This is a great place for people to bring their dogs to run, play and socialize.” Freeholder Taliaferro is the liaison to both the Gloucester County Parks Department and the Animal Shelter.

Dogs must have current rabies shots and all other vaccines as required by State of New Jersey law and wear a collar displaying valid licenses.
